January 14: Books & Buddies Sponsor: St. Thecla's Orthodox Christian Parish
Silver Spring, Md., Cheer on children in St. Thecla's Sunday School as they package brand-new books with stuffed animals that match the main character of each book, and prepare to deliver them to We Cancerve friends at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda.

February 1: Gift to Give Sponsor: Garrison Forest School's Art with a Heart Project
Owings Mill, Cheer on students from Garrison Forest School as they sketch pictures on canvasses for our Art with a Heart project . We Cancerve is packing their sketched canvasses with acrylic paint kits, brushes, gift bags and tissue paper to give to area hospitalized children so they can make gifts for their parents!

9 a.m., Boca Raton, Fla., By invitation only. We Cancerve Founder Grace Callwood will lead a lecture on social entrepreneurship to students.

10:30 a.m., Washington, DC. By invitation only. We Cancerve teams with Howard University Humanities & Social Sciences Scholars and Karsh STEM Scholars to bring happiness to youth at the Covenant House.

3 p.m., Baltimore. By invitation only. We Cancerve's Natalie Deitz joins Chef Stacia Epps, Maison Intimate Catering, in preparing a stir fry dinner for more than 80 children and families.

9:30 a.m., Bel Air Armory. Salute We Cancerve's Natalie Deitz, 12, who is an invited speaker during the Harford County Historical Society's conclusion to the year-long commemoration of Harford County’s 250th anniversary.

July 27: Camp Happy Experience Kid-friendly event
3:30 p.m. - 8 p.m., Baltimore. We Cancerve's youth will bring our award-winning camp model to children at the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore. Private event for We Cancerve camp counselors only.

August 1: We Cancerve's Signature Ice Cream Debuts at Broom's Bloom Dairy Family-friendly event
Enjoy flavorful key lime ice cream to help us raise money for children fighting cancer. A portion of every unit sold from Aug 1 thru Sept 30 goes to the We Cancerve Pediatric Patient Assistance Fund at Sinai in Baltimore.

August 16: Family Crisis Center of Baltimore County Meet & Greet
3 p.m., virtual. We Cancerve Board of Advisors Chair Zack Gwiazda will lead a business meeting with a domestic violence safe house to understand how We Cancerve can meet the needs of youth served in their program.

August 18: Hormel 10 Under 20 Award Ceremony
Austin, Minnesota, Board Member Natalie Deitz, 12, travels to Hormel Foods Headquarters to receive a national award and to network with other youth food advocates.

August 23: La Magnifique Boutique Fall Inventory & Restock
12 p.m., Bel Air, MD. Project Leader Sydney Thompson will lead a team of We Cancerve volunteers in a meeting with teen girls from a foster care group home to successfully deliver extraordinary fashion and shopping experiences to increase self-awareness and boost self-esteem.
August 28: Dental Care Kits for Kids Delivery
6 p.m., Washington, DC. Founder Grace Callwood delivered 50 family dental care kits to Healthy Babies DC, a nonprofit that helps low-income pregnant teens birth healthy babies and build stable lives.

September 1: Arena Club Fundraiser for $25 for 25 Days Family-friendly event
In recognition of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Arena Club is offering $25 memberships for access to their club for 25 consecutive days. More details coming soon. Sale through September 30.

September 3: Snack Attack Drive for the Edgewood Branch, Boys & Girls Club
In partnership with the UCB Pearls, We Cancerve Board of Advisors Member Nael Shakur will deliver a month-long collection of snack donations for area youth.

1:30 p.m., We Cancerve Founder Grace Callwood hosts a stuffing event as part of the expansion plans in DC. Items to be donated to Georgetown Hospital pediatric oncology patients, DC Dream Center and Healthy Babies DC.

October 4: World Smile Day
4 p.m., We Cancerve Founder Grace Callwood will deliver dental kits to a recipient organization in DC for children and youth experiencing homelessness

​October 1-31: SOCKTOBER! Family-friendly event
Join We Cancerve as we partner, again, with the Harford County Government and the Harford County Public Library to collect socks for children experiencing homelessness, as well as other items for cold weather for other vulnerable neighbors. Drop off in collection bins at local libraries. Contact us if you'd like to set up bins at your schools or churches. Thru Oct 30.
October 3: Harford's Most Beautiful People Ceremony
The We Cancerve team joins "Everyone's Grandma" NeAnni Y. Ife as she's recognized as one of Harford's Most Beautiful People at a ceremony in Bel Air.

October 10- November 10: Scentsational Kickoff in honor of World Homeless Day Family-friendly event
8 a.m., We Cancerve's Natalie Deitz, project leader, will kickoff a collection of brand new, unopened travel/personal size toiletries - called Scentsational - from Oct 10 through Nov 10. October 12: Passport to Kenya
9 a.m., Private Residence. We Cancerve's all-youth board of advisors will participate in a unique experience learning about Kenyan culture, cuisine and children in person and via virtual tools as part of ongoing relationships with an orphans' home in Songhor. By invitation only.

10:30 a.m., Abingdon Library. We Cancerve's Natalie Deitz will lead the community in packaging personalized toiletries kits for children experiencing homelessness. Packages will be donated to the Eastside Family Emergency Shelter in Rosedale, and to area organizations that support children in need of personal care kits.

12 p.m., Arrow Crossroads Community, Bel Air. We Cancerve's NeAnni Y. Ife will bring her memoir to life during an afternoon of excerpt readings from her 2002 "Blue Popsicles," which chronicles her childhood in an Ohio orphanage. By Invitation Only.
