​Jan. 25  MLK Day of Service Project

11 a.m., Edgewood (undisclosed location). Harford County area members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will co-host We Cancerve's Snack Attack, led by We Cancerve's Nael Shakur, to benefit area youth. By Invitation Only.

Feb. 7  The PenPal Project: Kenya

We Cancerve members are kicking off their newest initiative, a PenPal project led by Grace Callwood, founder, for children from Kenya, East Africa. â€‹â€‹

March 1  Do Good Drop-In for National Cereal Day  Kid-Friendly

​10:30 a.m., Abingdon Public Library. Join us in collecting cereal and stuffing 200+ Breakfast Bags for area youth experiencing food insecurity led by Zachary Gwiazda, board chair. Donate here.

Mar. 6  National Dress Day Project Kickoff Kid-Friendly

We Cancerve is collecting new and gently-used winter, spring and summer dresses for teen girls in foster care. A project led by We Cancerve's Gloria Park. Contact us for details.

​​Mar. 8  Do Good Drop In/Snack Attack Kid-Friendly

10 a.m., Abingdon Public Library.  Join Nael Shakur, project lead, and the We Cancerve team as we collect individual servings of chips, pretzels, fruit cups, raisins, waters, granola bars and muffins to ensure area youth enjoy an after-school snack before dinner., which sometimes isn't enough food to satisfy their hungry tummies! Mar. 15  Heel the World!

9 a.m., Bel Air. We Cancerve members will team with teen girls in foster care at the Arrow Crossroads Community to donate new and gently-shoes to third-world countries. By invitation only.

Mar. 22 Words of Wisdom: A Craft Project Celebrating Month of the Military Child 

10:30 a.m., Abingdon. In preparation for Month of the Military Child, We Cancerve's Gloria Park will lead an intergenerational project to encourage hospitalized children of military parents with cards and craft kits. By invitation only.

Apr 5 Do Good Drop In/Eggstra Special Easter Bagsits Kid-Friendly

10 a.m., Edgewood Public Library.  Join project leader Nael Shakur and the entire team as we stuff 500+ "Bagkits" with special treats for area vulnerable children. Apr 26  National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Anne Arundel County Chapter, Awards & Recognition Breakfast  Kid-Friendly

May 2  Discussion & Dinner with Author NeAnni Y. Ife

​5:30 p.m., Bel Air. Private event. We Cancerve presents a book talk for teen girls in foster care featuring an author who grew up in an Ohio orphanage. 

​

May 3  Weekend Wonders Kid-Friendly

10 a.m., Edgewood Public Library. Join us to sort and clean gently-used travel bags and travel backpacks, which will be donated to teens girls at a foster care group home to help them more easily transport personal items and outfits when they have weekend passes to visit relatives. May 3  Do Good Drop In for Scentsational Toiletries Kits Kid-Friendly

12 a.m., Edgewood Public Library.  Join We Cancerve's Natalie Deitz, project lead, and the We Cancerve team as we collect brand-new travel-size toiletries for area school students whose families need a little help with meeting their children's personal hygiene care. June 14  Dinner & Camp Happy Experience @ Ronald McDonald House of Baltimore with Dinner 

4:30 p.m.  We Cancerve Chair Zack Gwiazda leads our team of all-youth leaders in preparing a themed dinner for 80 parents and children at Ronald McDonald House. A special treat will be the return of the Camp Happy Experience at 6:30 p.m. focused on "Under the Sea" created by our very own Natalie Deitz and Violet Leishman!
